Project Manager

Southbank / Full Time

Full Time Southbank / Full Time Signature Hospitality Group

Deliver the venues our guests love, on time, on budget and to brand standard.

At Signature Hospitality Group, we create places people love: venues full of energy, connection, personality and unforgettable moments. From the roar of a packed sports bar to the clink of cocktails shared between friends, our spaces are built to bring people together and celebrate good times.

We’re the team behind The Sporting Globe, TGI Fridays and Varsity, with 50+ locations nationwide (and growing fast). Every venue, every concept and every detail reflects our passion for hospitality and the people who experience it.

As we continue to go far and go together, we’re seeking a Project Manager to lead the delivery of new venues, refurbishments and capital works across all our brands. Reporting to the Group Development Manager and based at our Support Office in Southbank, you’ll take projects from leasing and approvals through design, tender and construction to opening night, driving cost and quality across multiple projects at once.

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of new venues, refurbishments and capital works, from feasibility and leasing through to handover
  • Manage planning, building and liquor licensing approvals, ensuring all works comply with codes, standards and landlord requirements
  • Own project budgets, cost plans and reporting, and run tenders and contracts through to final accounts
  • Drive quality and safety on site through regular inspections, documentation reviews and close contractor management
  • Partner with Property, Design, Operations, Marketing and Finance, as well as landlords, consultants and contractors, to deliver cohesive projects
  • Oversee planned and preventative maintenance across our venues, and manage our Southbank Support Office building

What we’re looking for

  • 5+ years of project management experience in hospitality, retail, commercial fit-out or construction.
  • A degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Architecture, Engineering or a related field.
  • A proven track record of delivering multiple concurrent projects on time and on budget, from approvals through to handover.
  • Strong knowledge of planning and building approvals, the National Construction Code and relevant Australian Standards.
  • Experience managing tenders, contracts, variations and project budgets.
  • The ability to read architectural, structural and services drawings, with working knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit, MS Project and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work independently, lead cross-functional teams and present to senior management.
  • A current driver’s licence
