This November, The Sporting Globe is landing in Greensborough and this one is going to be a monster.

Our biggest venue yet. Multi level. Sports bar. Gaming. Huge screens. Big game days. Cold beers. Packed weekends.

Basically, subtle isn’t really the brief.

And we need a General Manager who can take the reins.

This is your opportunity to lead The Sporting Globe Greensborough from day one. You’ll build the leadership team, set the culture, drive the numbers and take ownership of one of the biggest and most exciting venue openings in our history.

This isn’t about stepping into an established operation. You’ll help build it.

WHAT YOU’LL BE OWNING

🏆 Leading the opening and ongoing operation of our biggest Sporting Globe yet

🏆 Building, developing and leading a high performing management and venue team

🏆 Owning venue performance across sales, labour, COGS and profitability

🏆 Overseeing the gaming operation, driving performance while maintaining strong responsible gambling and compliance standards.

🏆 Setting the standard for service, culture and operational excellence

🏆 Driving huge game days, events and peak trading periods

🏆 Maintaining strong standards across liquor licensing, gaming, TAB, safety and venue compliance

🏆 Overseeing gaming, compliance, licensing and venue standards

🏆 Coaching and developing your leadership team to deliver results

🏆 Working closely with Operations and Support Office to keep the venue moving forward

🏆 Knowing your numbers, your people and your venue inside out

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

• You’re an experienced General Manager or Venue Manager who knows how to lead a large, high volume hospitality operation.

• You’re commercially switched on and comfortable owning budgets, labour, COGS, sales and overall venue performance.

• You have strong gaming experience and understand what it takes to run a successful, compliant and responsibly managed gaming operation.

• You know how to build strong leadership teams, develop people and create genuine accountability.

• You’re hands on when you need to be, but you also know when to step back and lead through your managers.

• You thrive in big, busy venues and know how to turn major events and packed weekends into exceptional experiences.

• Strong experience across pubs, bars, restaurants, gaming or entertainment venues will be highly regarded.

• RSA, RSG and TAB knowledge is essential.

• And it probably helps if you don’t mind a bit of sport.
