As we continue to go far and go together, we’re seeking an Accounts Payable & Banking Officer to support our finance team in delivering a complete, accurate, and well-controlled AP and banking function across our hospitality brands. How will you play to win? You’ll be the go-to for ensuring smooth, timely, and accurate processing of supplier invoices and payments, while overseeing bank reconciliations across multiple entities. This role is all about attention to detail, problem-solving, and supporting continuous improvement—both locally and with our offshore processing team. What You’ll Be Doing - Support the Accounts Payable Manager in delivering an end-to-end AP function across The Sporting Globe, TGI Fridays, and Varsity.
- Ensure supplier invoices are coded, approved, and processed within agreed timeframes.
- Monitor invoice queues and ageing to prevent bottlenecks or missed payments.
- Assist with weekly and ad-hoc payment runs.
- Act as a local quality control point for AP tasks performed offshore and help improve workflows.
- Oversee and perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations for multiple entities.
- Investigate variances promptly and escalate issues in line with internal guidelines.
- Reconcile credit cards and expense platforms.
- Support month-end processes and identify control weaknesses or inefficiencies.
- Maintain AP procedures and assist with system or process changes.
What You’ll Bring - 2–5 years’ experience in Accounts Payable or Finance Officer roles.
- Experience with high-volume transactions, ideally in hospitality, retail, or franchising.
- Strong understanding of AP controls, approval workflows, and payment processes.
- Demonstrated experience performing bank reconciliations in a multi-entity environment.
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to confidently follow up and escalate issues when required.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multiple brands and stakeholders.
- MYOB Acumatica (or similar ERP) experience strongly preferred.
