FOH Training Manager – The Sporting Globe Signature Hospitality Group is home to some of Australia’s most iconic hospitality brands — including The Sporting Globe, TGI Fridays and Varsity — with 50+ venues nationally and continued growth ahead. As we continue to “Go Far. Go Together.” we’re looking for a Training Manager – The Sporting Globe to lead FOH training delivery, uplift capability and shape the guest experience across our venues. How You’ll Play to Win As the FOH Training Manager, you’ll bring our service culture to life. You’ll coach teams, support venue leaders, and ensure consistent FOH standards across all Sporting Globe venues. Your work will directly influence service quality, team confidence and guest satisfaction. What You’ll Be Doing Training Delivery & Venue Support - Deliver FOH onboarding, service standards training and development programs.
- Visit venues weekly to observe service, coach teams and ensure standards are upheld.
- Lead training for new venue openings, LTO rollouts and menu changes.
- Support assessments and capability reviews for venue teams and leaders.
Content & Program Development - Refresh and develop training materials, induction content and FOH resources.
- Work with the L&D team to produce video content and digital training modules.
- Maintain up-to-date LMS training pathways for FOH teams.
Leadership & Collaboration - Provide guidance and oversight to Training Coordinators/Training Managers.
- Build development plans for key personnel in partnership with venue leadership.
- Partner with Operations, Procurement and L&D to align training with business priorities.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement - Provide insights on training performance, NPS, Revinate and Goal progress.
- Identify performance gaps and implement training solutions to improve consistency.
- Contribute to annual training planning, conference sessions and leadership programs.
Travel This is predominantly a venue-based role with regular VIC travel required, along with occasional interstate travel to support national venues. What You’ll Bring - Strong FOH leadership or training background in a multi-venue hospitality environment.
- Confident facilitator with excellent communication and coaching skills.
- Ability to build capability across diverse teams and lift service performance.
- Organised, proactive and comfortable managing a high-volume venue schedule.
